As we head into November, GibSams and GibSilver will be involved in a number of events and community activities. These provide valuable opportunities to connect with the public, raise awareness, and continue meaningful conversations about mental health and suicide prevention.
Here is what’s coming up:
Supporting Men’s Mental Health: Lottoland 24-Hour Weighted Bag Carry
📍 Ocean Village, Gibraltar
📅 18–19 November 2025
We are proud to support Lottoland as they host a 24-hour weighted bag carry event to raise awareness of men’s mental health and raise funds for Men in Need Gibraltar. The event will take place at Ocean Village, starting on Tuesday 18 November and running through the following day.
GibSams and GibSilver will be present throughout to show our support and provide information about how we help individuals and families in Gibraltar. This is an important opportunity to continue conversations around men’s mental health and remind people that help is always available.
Join Us at the Convent Christmas Fair

🕛 12 pm to 6 pm
We’re pleased to be one of the chosen charities at this year’s Convent Christmas Fair. The fair is always a wonderful community event and a chance to support local causes in the lead-up to Christmas.
We’ll be there on the day selling raffle tickets and sharing information about our services. All proceeds raised will go toward supporting our work across GibSams and GibSilver. We hope to see you there.
Community Training: Suicide First Aid Courses
We’re offering two training courses this November for members of the community who want to gain confidence in recognising and responding to signs of suicidal thoughts in others.
Both courses are held at the Bleak House Training Centre and are delivered by our experienced team. These sessions are suitable for individuals, workplaces, or anyone who wants to be more prepared to support someone in distress.
Suicide First Aid: Full Day Course

A full-day accredited course that provides a deeper understanding of suicide prevention and intervention. This course is ideal for professionals, frontline staff, or anyone who regularly supports others.
SFA Lite: Community Half-Day Course
📅 Friday 15 November 2025
🕘 9:30 am to 1:00 pm
💷 £20
A shorter course designed for members of the public who want to understand more about suicide prevention in everyday situations.
