GibSams is offering another opportunity to take part in our SFA Lite (Suicide First Aid Lite) course — a half-day training designed to equip individuals with the essential skills to support someone experiencing thoughts of suicide.
Our next course will take place on Saturday, 6th September 2025 from 9:30am to 1:00pm.
What is SFA Lite?
SFA Lite is an internationally recognised, evidence-based training programme developed by Suicide First Aid and supported by Public Health England. It is ideal for:
- Community members
- Employers and HR teams
- Teachers and support staff
- Health and social care professionals
- Anyone who wants to know how to help
Participants will learn how to:
- Recognise when someone might be at risk of suicide
- Talk about suicide in a safe and supportive way
- Build confidence in how to respond to someone in distress
- Know when and how to signpost individuals to further help
