Half-Day Suicide Prevention Training
At GibSams, we believe suicide prevention is everyone’s responsibility. Our 2026 Suicide First Aid Lite (SFA Lite) Community Training Programme equips individuals across Gibraltar with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support someone who may be experiencing thoughts of suicide.
This practical, evidence-informed half-day course provides participants with the tools to recognise warning signs, engage in safe and supportive conversations, and connect individuals to appropriate professional help.
By attending this training, you become part of a growing network of suicide-aware individuals helping to strengthen Gibraltar’s collective response to suicide risk.

No previous experience or qualifications are required.
What You Will Learn
Participants will:

Your Trainer
Sean Keating – Certified Suicide First Aid (SFA) Instructor
Sean Keating is a certified Suicide First Aid (SFA) Instructor dedicated to equipping inpiduals and organisations with the skills and confidence to support someone experiencing thoughts of suicide .
Through the SFA Lite programme, Sean delivers practical, evidence-informed training that empowers participants to recognise warning signs, engage in safe and supportive conversations, and connect inpiduals to appropriate professional help .
As an experienced mental health and wellbeing trainer, Sean creates a safe, respectful learning environment where sensitive topics can be explored with clarity and compassion, helping to reduce stigma and build confidence in responding to crisis situations .
Sean also facilitates and leads the Walking Together support group for those bereaved by suicide, providing a compassionate space for inpiduals and families to connect and support one another through grief .
Sean is fully qualified as a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor (Adult and Youth), delivers SFA Full Day and Children & Young People courses, and is trauma and grief/loss trained .
